Mission Statement
Tri State Public Communications (“Tri State”), Inc. a 501 (c)(3) non- stock , non profit Connecticut corporation in organization.
Tri State was organized in February of 2002 for the principal purpose of managing and operating non-profit, local AM community radio and access television Northwest Connecticut and the immediate Tri-State area. Additionally Tri State will seek to be licensed by the FCC to operate a non-profit, public community FM station. Tri-State Public Communications mission is to provide quality public, not-for-profit, local radio and television programming, Tri-State Public Communications mission includes training local residents in both television, and radio production, recording and filming.
Tri State has and expects to generate significant community support in both donations and volunteers. Its board is representative of both the geographical and individual diversity of the Tri-State Region and the Northwest Corner, and the broad spectrum of personal experience desirable to oversee the activities of a representative community agency.
Its members include persons with experience in financing media companies, television production, commercial radio ownership and management, radio and TV broadcasting, TV news, and individuals representing the arts community including local and nationally recognized personalities.
